Camp Living Water is located in the foothills of the Carpathian Mountains near the village of Fitionesti in Vrancea County, Romania. It is a beautiful location with forest on both sides of a little valley with a small creek running through it. We have built 5 cabins in the meadow, a large building for meetings and meals, and several smaller buildings for storage, utilities and our sawmill.
Work up at Camp Living Water is very primitive. We make concrete by digging sand and gravel out of the creek, mixing it with cement, and pouring it using buckets. We have built most of our structures using wood we cut on our sawmill and every hole that has been dug represents lots of sore muscles! Thanks to many volunteers and thousands of hours of work we are blessed to say our camp is more than half done. We continue to build, and finish what we have, as finances allow.
Summer Camp is always a great time! No matter what the state of the facilities, the kids always have a blast! Each summer we choose a theme and taylor our program for each group that will attend. We have music, art, drama, games, crafts, sports, and most importantly the Gospel message.
