Camp Living Water is located in the foothills of the Carpathian Mountains near the village of Fitionesti in Vrancea County, Romania.

It is a beautiful location with forest on both sides of a little valley with a small creek running through it. We have 4 large dormitory cabins for the kids, 2 cabins for the missionaries, and 8 small cabins for the summer staff, along with a large building for meetings and meals, a gymnasium, soccer field, and several smaller buildings for activities, storage, and utilities.

Work up at Camp Living Water is very primitive. We make concrete by digging sand and gravel out of the creek, mixing it with cement, and pouring it using buckets. We have built most of our structures using wood we cut on our sawmill and every hole that has been dug represents lots of sore muscles! Thanks to many volunteers and thousands of hours of work we are blessed to say our camp grows every year. We continue to build, and finish what we have, as finances allow.

You don’t need building experience to volunteer, just a willingness to work hard for a few days. It is an amazing experience to have a hand in building something in this remote location that will serve the Lord for many years to come. It definitely feels like “leaving a legacy”.
